Tajweed Rules in English: Beautify Your Quran Recitation

It is not only reciting but rather it is reciting the Holy Quran beautifully, correctly and most importantly despicably, the way it was revealed by Allah (SWT) to the Prophet Muhammad (Salla Allahu Alyah WA Sallam). Tajweed is the knowledge that assists us with perfecting our pronunciation, rhythm and clarity. The use of Tajweed rules in English is quite useful to those who learn non-Arabic but wish to have an opportunity to recite the Quran correctly and without any doubt. Tajweed is necessary whether you are a beginner or an expert learner as a way of worshipping the Book of Allah with high precision and devotion.

What Is Tajweed?

Tajweed is an Arabic word with the root of Jawadi, which means to better/improve. In Quran recitation, Tajweed means reading the Quran in the same manner the Prophet (Salla Allahu Alyah WA Sallam) used to recite it including proper pronunciation of the letters and in all the rules of recitation. Tajweed, in simple terms, assists you in reading the Quran beautifully, well and with comprehension.

The importance of Learning Tajweed.

To learn Tajweed does not only mean that one should have a good voice, but it also means that one should not commit errors which may alter the context of the Quranic words. With Tajweed:
